Most anyone would agree that success comes easier in life to those that speak up clearly and confidently. Our world-class curriculum, developed over the past 25 years, teaches children to do just that! It encourages them to build skills that last a lifetime, while having fun and making friends. Our curriculum is designed so that children can enroll in Kindergarten and continue through 12th grade without ever repeating a lesson!
We are excited to offer Drama Kids to youth in your community. In doing so, together, we can help create a generation of children who have the confidence they need to be active participants in all aspects of their lives, children who are able to ask questions, seek answers and share information with others.
Children who mix well with others find it easier to make friends and adjust to new situations. They find both school and community events to be enjoyable adventures! The Drama Kids developmental drama program for Lower Primary provides young children, ages 5 to 8, with unique opportunities to develop clear speech, fluent delivery and pleasing social skills. Activities include:
- Speech Training
- Creative Movement
- Structured Improvisation
- Dialogue Development
The confident, articulate child finds it easier to make friends, accept new challenges and explore new directions. The Drama Kids Upper Primary program for children ages 9-11 is designed to help each child achieve the invaluable life skills of ongoing confidence, self-esteem and skill in verbal communication. Activities include:
- Verbal Dynamics
- Group Improvisation
- Mini Scripts
- Dramatic Movement
Older students enjoy the comfort of routines as well as the satisfaction of creating new situations based on their own interests and self-expression. The Drama Kids
successful DKI Acting Academy encourages students
ages12-17 to explore their strengths and overcome
their challenges with its very comprehensive program.
Activities include:
- Spontaneous Improvisation
- Character Analysis
- Theater Games
- Monologues
Drama Kids Summer Camp includes a unique combination of fun, creative, and entertaining theater and speech activities such as large group improvisations, silent scenes, dialogue development, scene starters, and theater games. Each week will also include a special theme, fun dress-up days, and culminate in a fabulous presentation for family and friends.
